HealthPoint Communications’ mission is to develop innovative, creative health education materials that educate and empower individuals to make informed decisions about their health.

 

Core Competencies

HealthPoint Communications specializes in the design, development, implementation and evaluation of health communication interventions grounded in behavioral theory.  A signature attribute of HealthPoint Communications is the use of information technology to deliver compelling and engaging health education messages that command attention, overcome cognitive barriers and promote healthful behaviors. HealthPoint projects reflect a sensibility that has consistently resulted in remarkably high subject retention rates and notable intervention outcomes.  It is nationally recognized for its innovative use of interactive technology and the efficacy of its behavioral-based, intervention strategies in cancer education and screening promotion directed to low-income Latinas. It operates through three functional divisions: HealthPoint Institute focuses on intervention research, HealthPoint Interactive focuses on design and consulting services on interactive technology and health IT, and HealthPoint Communications focuses on health education services and products directed at diverse populations, including language minorities and the medically underserved.
